"INITIAL EXPERIENCE 11/26/24: I recently had a question about why my premium increased. We had a short conversation through text on 11/26/24, and they asked if 12/5/24 would work for a phone call. I said no but indicated that 12/6/24 would work. They never responded, so I followed up on 12/5/24. My family and I have been with Adam Jurs State Farm Agency for over eight years. Overall, I’m very disappointed with this lack of communication towards their customers and hope they can improve in the future. UPDATE 12/9/24: Adam Jurs contacted me after my initial review and we scheduled a call for 12/7/24. Within minutes Adam accused me of including “incorrect information” in my review which was startling and upsetting. My initial review reflected my true experience and I genuinely did not receive a response from State Farm. Instead of approaching the conversation constructively or professionally, his accusation came across as dismissive and confrontational. Adam made me uncomfortable by mentioning that my initial review had made a team member cry and disclosed her name showing a lack of care for her privacy. While I apologized and clarified that it was not my intent, Adam responded “that’s what happens when you post something on a public forum” further highlighting his unprofessional and inappropriate approach. When I asked him about my premium increase during the call he was unable to answer. This suggested he had not prepared for the conversation despite requesting the call and mutually scheduling it two days in advance. After the call I sent Adam a screenshot that clearly documented the communication disconnect between the State Farm representative and me from my perspective. Despite explicitly asking him to review it he ignored my evidence entirely. The day after the call Adam sent me a screenshot of his laptop as proof of his earlier claims but again ignored the screenshot I had provided. When I stopped responding to his unconstructive text messages he dismissively asked, "What exactly is false and what am I supposed to be reviewing?". This combined with his earlier text-"What are you talking about? As I stated. WE responded. I can't take in fact you didn't receive a secured message from us"-reinforced my impression that his focus was on protecting the company’s reputation by accusing me rather than addressing the disconnect at hand. His responses showed a dismissive attitude towards the problem and an unwillingness to engage constructively or review the evidence I had provided. If Adam Jurs wasn’t prepared to discuss the disconnect constructively, review my evidence, or discuss my premium increase what WAS the purpose of contacting me in the first place? REFLECTIONS ON THE INTERACTION: There was a clear communication disconnect on both ends as shown by both my evidence and State Farm’s. Adam’s behavior during our call and subsequent text messages was disappointing as it was defensive and accusatory rather than constructive. His handling of valued customers fall incredibly short of the professionalism I expected from a trusted insurance provider. FINAL DECISION: This experience was disappointing enough that I switched to a different State Farm agent. Adam’s handling of concerns reflects poorly on his professionalism and priorities. If his focus is on accusing customers rather than addressing issues constructively it’s difficult to feel valued as a customer. If professionalism, respect, and accountability are priorities for you I recommend considering other agents who genuinely value customer care and resolve issues respectfully and professionally. UPDATE 1/4/25: I received a direct threat of legal action from Adam Jurs “Your unprofessionalism, editing to show a one-sided opinion, and potentially harmful accusations could potentially be considered libel and defamation”. My review contains direct quotes and examples from our interactions and accurately reflects my experience, making this an empty and deeply concerning threat to silence a customer."
"Maxine, thank you for taking my call on Saturday while I was traveling out of town to discuss your concern. As we spoke about, our team goes above and beyond to make sure we get back as soon as humanly possible to our customers...in fact, it's why we've been ranked one of the top Agencies in the Country, and we have built processes and added people to ensure that our customers come first! Insurance is highly regulated so I'm very thankful that we can go back in time to keep records of communication, as we are not perfect, but we both confirmed that you received our ask to schedule a phone call to discuss your concerns. We never heard back from you in this regard until you followed up on 12/5. Regarding our phone call that I requested to be set up, I was simply going above and beyond as you had already been serviced by my team regarding your accident and the claims question. This was documented and explained to me prior to our call, so my call was regarding the technological side and making sure you heard directly from me that we responded within 6 minutes of your inquiry, and I sent you the proof from our end that we were very responsive to working around your schedule to explain your questions. It appears that there is a disconnect with your expectation from the call, and wanted a different answer than what was provided, and I explained how the claims and pricing process works in a very detailed email which I have not heard back from you. I rearranged my calendar to accommodate your schedule on a weekend and was driving at the time, without access to my company laptop, yet you have shared I was unprepared, which was not the objective of my call to you. We always appreciate feedback, and I’m also thankful that the team has expressed their prompt customer service toward your needs as well.
